Sunday, May 24, 2009 - Popped and aerated for 3 hours. Deep purple hue. Fairly pronounced aromas of blackberry, black currant, vanilla bean, and toast. Medium-plus body with nice concentration. As with many of Pride's offerings, the 2006 vintage features great interplay between the big flavors of fruit and spicy oak that coat the palate. Tannins are quite smooth and round on the plus finish (much smoother than the 2005). This has really come together within the past few months and should be singing after another 1-2 years in cellar.
