Monday, July 2, 2012 - First of the highly rated (in some quarters) Aussie cult wines that I have tried. Decanted for 90 minutes before consumption.

Opaque, brroding inky colour with no visible rim. Plums, cherries, oak on the nose and a smooth velvety tannins and full-bodied mouth-feel. First glass was lovely, but by the end of the bottle (split 3 ways) it felt more like a glass of port than wine.

A massive wine which was certainly impressive, but not one that I would choose to consume regularly.
