Friday, November 12, 2021 - Un peu de Bourgogne (+ a Nebbiolo pirate) (Tøyen, Oslo): Double decanted 4h prior to dinner.

The nose was not very accessible for me on this night. The first two hours it felt very understated, dark, but shy. Later on this night, blackberries, crushed rock, sweet strawberries, wood and juniper emerged. The others around the table really loved this, I guess I wasnt fully on its wavelenght on this night.

The palate was medium bodied. Fruity and also minerality. Long understated and dry finish.

This wine kept growing through the night, becoming more interesting to me as well. It just did not bring the intensity I was expecting, also the MG Ruchottes was a tough act to follow..

91 points the first time around, 94 at the end of dinner.
