Saturday, May 15, 2021 - Hard to believe this wine puts out 14.6% alcohol...very well hidden.
On nose: pleasing notes of fresh green pears, warm slate stone, and sea salt.
On palate:all above flavours amplified on a surprisingly full, rich body, as well as a curious vegetal note of celery, and as it warms up, faint notes of dried apricot and note of parsnip( in a good way).
Bone dry, and whatever oak is present, is woven well into the mix.
Distinctively New World , a blend of 88% Sauv blanc, 10% Semillon, and a rare varietal Sauv Vert at 2%.
Not a shellfish wine, plays well with Salmon and Sea Bass.
