Light green apple color. Green apples, quince, lemon, and tomatillo on the sharp nose. Very sharp and refreshing with bitter lime, lychee, and a bit of plaintain starch in the finish. Oily, white peppery finish. Still drinking great.

Hard to believe this wine puts out 14.6% alcohol...very well hidden. On nose: pleasing notes of fresh green pears, warm slate stone, and sea salt. On palate:all above flavours amplified on a surprisingly full, rich body, as well as a curious vegetal note of celery, and as it warms up, faint notes of dried apricot and note of parsnip( in a good way). Bone dry, and whatever oak is present, is woven well into the mix. Distinctively New World , a blend of 88% Sauv blanc, 10% Semillon, and a rare varietal Sauv Vert at 2%. Not a shellfish wine, plays well with Salmon and Sea Bass.

Not bad and quite enjoyable. Well suited to a number of foods I’d imagine. Not outrageous on the nose but nicely typical. It’s quite dense and rich which I don’t mind and almost creamy. It’s not light on its feet though to its credit hides the alchohol very well. I was slightly surprised at the 14.6% which you can feel and takes away from the wine a little. Not one I’d be stocking up on especially at the price but the odd bottle is fine.
