Thursday, February 21, 2013 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hours and on Day 2
-opaque deep red with no clearing
-nicely aromatic cassis jam
-med- acidity, med+ weight, tar, faint remnants of fruit but not much tertiary development either, finishes with aggressive tannins some heat and unresolved oak, acidity picks up on Day 2 giving it some verve
-past its fruit bomb days, but not sure where this will go; certainly room for positive development if it picks up tertiary features and complexity while the tannins and oak further resolve but that may be asking too much of it
