Friday, December 15, 2006 - Somewhat closed aromatically at first. A couple hours of air saw this open up considerably. Nothing showy about the nose - rather refined, dark cherry fruit. On the palate, again, quite a serious style of Beaujolais. Mineral core, lightly smokey, dried cherry, soy sauce. Nice balance. Very impressive. I would think this has excellent short / mid-term cellaring potential and will improve considerably - especially from an aromatic perspective.
