Saturday, November 14, 2009 - After about 1 hour - a massive nose of coffee and dark fruit. Concentrated, richly flavored and medium-to-full bodied, with a coating and slightly chalky texture. Intense flavors of black fruits, espresso bean, cherries, chocolate and oak. Just slightly acidic, with drying tannins and a medium, slightly bitter finish. Needs an hour to open up and reveal the layers of flavor and continued to improve for about 2 hours. As others have noted, this is a wine for steaks.
