Saturday, April 9, 2011 - Opened about a half hour before drinking. Very dark, with no signs of age. Powerful aroma of cherries and a little charcoal. Tart cherry pie filling, licorice, and a hint of smoke on the palate. Explosive flavors, plush texture, and a long finish, where still plentiful tannins kick in. Not going anywhere soon. In fact, it might not have peaked yet.
