Sunday, November 6, 2022 - Three hour decant. Nearly opaque bull’s blood color (i.e., opaque ruby magenta). Meringue, stewed black cherry, plum, juniper, candied fig, vanilla frosting, fresh parsley, and subtle clove on the nose. Very smooth, dry, full bodied palate, with nice, granular acidity. Firm, yet plush, tannins on the long finish.

This pulls off an impossible balance of decadence and complexity. Not all notes were there simultaneously. Varying combinations come and go. Perfectly integrated. Score would be higher with shorter decant. This is singing in just one hour.

11/9/2022 10:19:00 AM - Their bottle of '16 Red Wine I had just a while back was decidedly less than this cab, it seems. Hard to believe it could be for a '16 @$200/bottle.....

11/9/2022 3:09:00 PM - I would think so....just can't believe how sub par their 'Red Wine' was compared to the straight cab......disappointing for the price, especially.
