Friday, April 7, 2023 - A monster Pinot at 14.9% (!), but fruit, acidity, tannins, and alcohol all in a wonderfully voloptuous, if not slightly too concentrated, juicy Pinot. Pale ruby in color, the nose was explosive with big ripe, black cherry notes, vanilla and a touch of baking spicy, and burnt of leather and cedar box. On the palate, super juicy - ripe black cherries, blueberries and the earthier aromatics becoming more prominent. Overall, a solid PN at $45-50 retail on release and drinking well. I prefer a slightly less concentrated, lower alcohol, and earthier style of PN but certainly would not complain if served this. 91 points.
