Ruby red in color. 14.9% ABV. Brooding nose of red fruits, sage and flowers. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Rich and lush with an abundance of earthy fruits. Perfectly balanced. Cherry, cranberry, earth and minerals on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. A little more earthy than previous vintages that were endowed with great purity of fruit. Delicious nonetheless. Best over the next 3-5 years.

Monster Pinot is right… not sure why the need for such concentration and high ABV. Seems like the mentality is go big or go home. What’s wrong with crafting Pinots that represent the variety instead of pretending to be a syrupy sweet Syrah.
Seems to get worse by the vintage, not just this producer but many in general (Martinelli now into mid 15% abv). There is something to say for nuanced wines.
Think I need to look elsewhere for future purchases of Pinots that taste like Pinots. Oregon perhaps, or specific wine makers that make more restrained wines. Recommendations welcomed.

A monster Pinot at 14.9% (!), but fruit, acidity, tannins, and alcohol all in a wonderfully voloptuous, if not slightly too concentrated, juicy Pinot. Pale ruby in color, the nose was explosive with big ripe, black cherry notes, vanilla and a touch of baking spicy, and burnt of leather and cedar box. On the palate, super juicy - ripe black cherries, blueberries and the earthier aromatics becoming more prominent. Overall, a solid PN at $45-50 retail on release and drinking well. I prefer a slightly less concentrated, lower alcohol, and earthier style of PN but certainly would not complain if served this. 91 points.

Purchased from Dehlinger last Fall and cellared at 55.
1st half: Color and nose good. Disappointed with the development, lesser complexity and richness, perhaps because of its primary state. Although I’ve drunk older PN (mostly Swan Trenton), compared to the 2011 Altamont from the Library (lesser vintage) this is relatively less interesting. I don’t know what to make of it. For this half the finish is average. I’m hoping better for the 2d half but I’ll leave this comment in. This isn’t a Goldridge vs Altamont issue because the best domestic PN I’ve had is a 2015 Octagon.
Day 2, 2d half: More open and pleasurable. What’s good is this is very pleasant to drink. What’s missing, and present for me in other vintages esp Altamont, is richness and added complexity of flavors (disclosure: I’m poor at describing these although quick to identify … like Justice Potter Stewart). However, now there is a very nice finish. Given other reviews and other Dehlinger PN I’m hoping for more with remaining 3 bottles. None of this doesn’t means I don’t like it, does mean I’ll sample 2019’s early (passed on 2018, only Octagon).
Note: subsequent bottles better, updated score to 92+. I continue to be disappointed at varying experiences by bottle, the nature of small production.

Dinner bottle with grilled pork loin chops, asparagus soup with parmigiana and lemon. For me, this bottle isn’t ready, Tight, took couple hours to behin to open, probably better tomorrow. Lots of red cherries, a little darker fruit underneath. Probably will decant the next bottle for two hours. Classic Dehlinger Goldridge, my favorite property.

Classic Russian River Pinot that I love so much. Lots of red fruits with cola notes. Medium mouth feel. Decanted 1 hour. Nice cornucopia of flavors dancing in your mouth wonder e traction of fruit but so delicate yet lots of structure. Long lingering finish. This wine is one of my go to RR PN’s along with Williams Selyem, Merry Edwards, Dutton Goldfield Single Vineyards and Lynmar Estate. Yum.

What a great value the Dehlinger Goldridge is....I think I paid around 40 bucks for this wine and it's just terrific with strawberry and cherry notes on the front end and a good bit of acidity. Finishes strong but light on its feet...This baby is ready to drink now but could hold for anther 5 years or so in my opinion!
One of my always have Russian River PN’s. Lots of cherry, raspberry but with cola notes typical of RR PN’s. Nice layers of flavors. Fruit holding up great with no degradation. Very smooth and nice extraction. You can easily drink this by itself or with food.not too sweet or ripe which is great. Average complexity. I’ve never been disappointed with this wine.

Dehlinger never disappoints. Cherry on the nose with a woodsy note. Cherry with subtler flavors of blueberry, strawberry, chocolate, and hazelnut. Balance in the mouth on the acid side with and acid finish. Great paring wine.

Dehlinger makes great Pinot Noir and this is no exception. We drank it with the Fort Ross Vineyard Pinot Noir for the contrast between coastal Sonoma County Pinot Noir and the inland style and flavor. Predictably, this wine is sturdier than a coastal Pinot. It has wonderful aromatics.

N: Closed, but RIPE red rasps, poss notes of plums?
P: LM, poss Med, body; Rndish entry with NICE frt met by an astringent pucker which somewhat resolves by the LONG, balanced finish with a firmness to the very, VERY fine tannins & only OCCASIONAL *hints* of swtness. NEEDS another 18-27 mos, then drinking for 3 yrs more? IF the frt is still alive & well then, my VG+/EXC- *will* be low. 93 pts Vinous (Galloni) & 91 WS. [Check with this vendor if interested in their COMPETITIVE price.]

P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by astringent pucker which, without losing touch with the init frt, fairly seamlessly evolves into a LONG, BALANCED finish with a tangy/SWTNESS to the dusty tannins. NEEDS 12-18 mos, then drinking through '24. My EXC; 93 pts Vinous (Galloni) & 91 WS. [Check with this vendor if interested in their COMPETITIVE price.]
