Tuesday, December 5, 2023 - Decanted about three hours prior to dinner. Dark fruit on the nose and palate, but otherwise not showing much of anything. This was the first of the No. 5, but also the first Andremily that I've ever opened that wasn't exploding out of the bottle. Rebottled the remaining wine and left it until day two. Significant improvement on day two, but still no pepper notes or other Syrah indicators. Perhaps some bottle variation here, but I won't touch another bottle for 3-5 years.
