Big drop from the bottle tasted at the winery. Consistent profile of tropical citrus, but this was just not in perfect harmony as I remember it. Still excellent, but not all there. I think I'll sit on my remaining bottle for a year or so.
Opened by R&D at Anvil for Allred's birthday. Tasted alongside a 1990 Montrose, and I literally could not split them, even knowing what was in each glass. Again, the pairing with the lamb brought this to life. On its own, not so much. Mrs. TLV liked it significantly more than I did.
Opened by R&D at Anvil for Allred's birthday. Typical Bordeaux nose, with a palate of dark fruits and florals. This was fine on its own, but with the lamb, it came alive and was beautiful. Mrs. TLV liked significantly more than I did.
