Wednesday, July 29, 2009 - Dinner at Enoteca Restaurant (Halandri - Athens - Greece), with my friend Vassilis.
My first contact with Fiano grape variety.
Straw yellow with amber hues.
When poured into the glasses I could feel the high level of acidity.
Ripe melon, peaches, iron, burnt sugar and chalk, both on the nose and palate.
Persistent aftertaste. Can be enjoyed for the next two years.
Strange wine, to pair with simple italian dishes as a risotto a la milanese.
