Dinner at Enoteca Restaurant (Halandri - Athens - Greece), with my friend Vassilis. My first contact with Fiano grape variety. Straw yellow with amber hues. When poured into the glasses I could feel the high level of acidity. Ripe melon, peaches, iron, burnt sugar and chalk, both on the nose and palate. Persistent aftertaste. Can be enjoyed for the next two years. Strange wine, to pair with simple italian dishes as a risotto a la milanese.

Medium pale yellow with butterscotch and peaches on the nose. Medium body and very soft with green apples, lettuce, and lemon citrus on a short, dry finish.

Light yellow. Light nose of honey, citrus, slate, hay. Plenty of acidity, medium bodied good density of fruit with more pear and citrus on the slightly bitter finish. Short-medium length. Very enjoyable.

Light yellow color, bordering on golden. Not much coming through on the nose other than some faint floral notes and some tart apple. Nice, crisp wine on the palate with good zinging acidity. Not a whole lot of flavors jumping out but the wine was drank a bit too cold. All in all a solid bottle of white, definitely better than your average pinot grigio and worth trying. I would rebuy.

Part of a flight at Vinotecca, which had friendly service. Cost $19 for a flight of 4. Served in Stolzle crystal. The appearance is light golden or mid-colour straw. The nose is very light. The taste is spicy almost; it is dry, with minerality present. The finish is medium in length, and spicy. This wine went well with steamed edamame. It has some different nuances. Good (82.5).

Medium yellow-gold colour. Aromas of white peach, pine, white flower, and passionfruit. Meidum-bodied, with very little going on the palate. Hints of white fruit, but that's it. Short finish, ~15s, with a touch of white fruit. Very disappointing, especially for the price. My rating might be a touch generous.

Palm Bays Tasting: Dark yellow color. Huge nose of a very familiar aroma that I can't somehow place. I'm not really a fan of fiano, and that experience continues with this bottle. 83-85

Palm Bay Imports (Little Italy-Anchorage): Have had previous vintages. Liked the Greco better. This one was more floral and it followed through on the palate, which I don't care for the taste of flowers!! Minerality adds for complexity, and the palate is a bit richer, but with too soft acidity making it flabby. This one falls short from some of the other whites tasted tonight. Needs to be consumed as soon as it is released I think. Oxidizes very quickly.
