Saturday, December 24, 2016 - Pop and poured. Christmas Eve dinner at Wimborne.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, salmon-pink colour. Legs. Fine bubbles.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of strawberries, red cherries, chalk and limestone minerality, brioche, toast bread, and biscuit. Developing.
On the palate, dry high acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet strawberry cream, raspberries, red cherries, red apples, biscuit, brioche, and slight saline minerality.
Medium+ finish.
Relative sweetness and straight-foward fruitiness makes this seem rather unserious. Nice drink and everyone enjoyed it nonetheless.
