Fresh, yet full strawberry. 7% dry red wine blended in. And that is the style of the red wine - Bouzy, Culiiers, and one other. And then the reserve is a solera of rose red wine. The idea of rose here is to have suggestive red fruit to it but more on the violet level, tangerine and blood orange to me as well. And someone else said white pepper to it. And then good penetration and balance across the palate. Finish is dry, quick and crisp. Very fine.

I enjoyed aspects of this for sure, but in terms of actual Champagne this is probably my least favorite so far. There was some pretty strawberry/cream character, but also a yeasty thing that was showing weirdly, a sort of angular mushroom/cheesy tone that didn't work super well (I've found something similar in lots of champagne that *was* good- here it felt off.) Good mousse and some good acidity, but again the ripeness didn't play well with the rest of the components. A little strange; we only shared a half bottle of this and we had a good time but wouldn't have wanted more. Enjoyed the regular brut black label much more.

2015 base, 5/21 disgorgement. Pale pink/orange color. Mineral nose with touch of tart strawberries, chalk, slight oxidative notes and touch of citrus. Palate is fresh, dry but not bone-dry, and somewhat full-bodied, medium+ acidity with some smoky matchstick, tart cherry, lemon zest, whiff of peanuts, and some slightly underripe red fruits. Finish is salty and fresh. Decent stuff but not sure if it's that exciting.

{cork, 12.5%} Pale onion skin. Sour strawberry nose; pleasant enough. Mild palate, medium weight pinot-like flavours, fine bubbles, creamy texture, dry but not rasping; medium length finish. Serviceable enough but not remarkable otherwise.

Disgorged 2017... extremely pleasant balance of yeast and precise acidity. Bouquet of strawberries and marmelade... with some time and air a slight bitterness which quickly discipates and leaves the pure fruit flavours... nice one

Loved this. There is a higher level of acidity, which is perfect for my palate. Damp earth, strawberries, stones, enough Pinot noir fruit to make it a very solid package. Better QPR than the NV Billecart, which is another fave. I will stock up on this very enjoyable Champagne.

Disg 22/1/2019. Muted nose, even after 1h in the glass. Mild strawberries, watermelon and ruhbarb. Hint of earth on the nose. Bit watery and short. Easy drinking. 87-88.

Lovely Provençal colour. Just the slightest hint of brioche on the nose. This is light and mineral, with nothing more than the sensation of raspberry on the palette, otherwise muted. Quite nice acid balance. This is not complex but is good value and is an elegant party Champ. 88-89

Not bling, Magnum, 50-35-15 PN-CH-PM, 7% still wine served a bit too warm, missing power and precise finish, a touch too sweet in the late palate. Not so good as the Black label 88

I used to have this a lot but the local shop stopped selling it, and the price has gone too high (so only worth considering when on offer). Pale salmon colour. Sweetish, slightly lactic nose. Beeswax on the palate, a strong note of lemon and orange. Overall the impression is simple fruit and strong acidity. This isn't as good as I remember, and better value can be found elsewhere. [Cork + cage; 12.5% abv; Sainsbury's, on offer at £27].

Lovely pink with slender perlages bubbling from the bottom of the glass to the top. Strong aromas of raspberry, cherry, yeast, and rose flowers. Bright and scrubbing acidity with enough tannin to take on bloody meats. Overall, delicious and satisfying by itself and with every food on the table.

Laxrosa färg. Frän och otrevlig doft. Inte speciellt bubblig i munnen. Smakar bättre än den doftar men det känns som att det är för hög syra och jag får inte ihop den.

This is a lovely bottle of Champagne for the first day of Spring and an outdoor lunch. Its a light bronze pink in colour and has a lovely nose of redcurrant, strawberry, blood orange and red apples. The palate is zesty with refreshing fruit notes and touches of nougat and brioche on the finish. The bead is not especially fine nor the fruit especially complex but the overall effect is refreshing and fun with no distracting notes.

Not sure what to make of this. It opens to raspberry, nectarine, orange citrus, and brioche notes that are taut, juicy, and minerally but it gains density and richness of flavor that makes it come across thicker and sweeter than it really is. A back note of strawberries and cream shifts to wisps of sea breeze and pith on the finish.

Vigorous, refreshing, fruity, concentrated, and delicious, that we drank from the fun drink anytime half bottle size. Superb Valentine's Day wine that is decisively the best match with every food, even when tasted beside 7 other superb whites, roses, and red wines. Not just palette cleansing - the acidity, tannin, texture, and flavors both meld with and improve the taste of most every dish.

Treat from my wife's friend. "Got this years ago. I never drink and since your husband is so into champagne I figured you could have it" Degorg date is unknown but I would guess +10 years from degorg date.
Dry sherry, dried strawberries, roasted almonds, vanillia and dried pears on the nose.
Medium to full body on the palate with dry yet generous fruit. Almonds, strawberries, dried pears and raisins.
Came out as surprisingly good at this stage (feared it would be way over peak). Never had Lanson rosé before but this was for sure built to last. Thanks Veronica for this lovely treat!
Annual Christmas Dinner at La Folie (La Folie San Francisco): Drank at La Folie Christmas Dinner. Great starter. $100 on the list but defrayed one $50 corkage on the other bottles. Lightest orange/pink. Needed to sit a few minutes to warm and loose some of the exuberant bubbles. Not complex but fresh and not heavy. Went well with the terrific Amuse Bouche. If you haven't been to La Folie go.

Disgorged 5/2013. Cork was very tight and compressed, in fact it looked older than 4 years. Really nice Rose Champers. Fine red fruit, yeast and saline on the nose. Could smell this all day. Great red fruits, lighht bitter nose, bread, some brown apple, light bitterness, strong acidity. Medium-heavy body with a long, long delicious finish. Better if you like heavy bodied champagnes. This disgorgement has a solid 8+ years. no hurry.

Pop and poured. Christmas Eve dinner at Wimborne. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, salmon-pink colour. Legs. Fine bubbles. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of strawberries, red cherries, chalk and limestone minerality, brioche, toast bread, and biscuit. Developing. On the palate, dry high acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet strawberry cream, raspberries, red cherries, red apples, biscuit, brioche, and slight saline minerality. Medium+ finish. Relative sweetness and straight-foward fruitiness makes this seem rather unserious. Nice drink and everyone enjoyed it nonetheless.

Granny Smith Apple on the nose. Medium bubble vigor. Short to medium finish. Notes of tangerine, strawberry, red dicious, tart unripe pear. For a $58 bottle, it's not a socks-knocker-offer, but I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers, either.

Pre-concert dinner at the Duke of Cambridge, Tilford - Tilford Bach Festival. Hottest day of the year, this bubbly hit the right spot being both light and refreshing as an aperitif but with enough wild strawberry fruit and acidity to carry it through into the meal, crayfish and pork belly in my case. Simple but excellent value all purpose champagne - bonus point applied. Buy to drink - not to cellar.

This Champagne had no disgorgement date on the label. It is a med copper/salmon color, with a constant stream of tiny, fine bubbles, and a nice mousse. The nose is showing off tart strawberry and red cherry fruits, with bready/crusty aromas, as well as chalky minerality. The palate shows off a full bodied wine, with med alcohol and a hint of sweetness from the dosage. The flavors include tart red cherry skins, strawberry, chalk, and nectarine zest, with high acidity and a long finish that echoes the flavors for more than 30 secs. There is a med level of rounded tannins present as well, and this wine has nice complexity and balance. The cork stayed completely compressed for an hour after opening, showing that this bottle was likely disgorged years ago. Still, this wine was a very good quality sparkler, that wis drinking beautifully now and will continue to do so for another 6+ years. Purchased for $29 at JJ's on the sale rack (same price for the Black Label, which was equally delicious), what a nice value in a proper Champagne.

Initially very fresh, lively, Red fruity on the nose and also on the palate. Initially impressed as an aperitif champagne, but over time took on much more pinot weight along with increasing dryness.
A reminder that excellent rose champagnes are hard to find.

Beautiful light pink salmon color, showing plenty of effervescence as it is poured into a flute. Enticing nose of sweet strawberry and light raspberry. Similar bright, light red berry, mineral, and toasty flavors in the mouth. Dry, but balanced finish. Pretty good, but not as good as the 2002 Lanson Gold Label Brut which I enjoyed this past summer.

Lanson: A Taste of Tradition (Vancouver, BC): Quite restrained on the nose giving off aromas of fresh strawberries and cranberries. Very elegant on the palate with flavors of field strawberries, tart lemon, and some floral notes. Quite dry, with plenty of crisp acidity. Short length finish ending on notes of fresh lemon and cranberry. This was much more acidic and tart than the last time I tasted this, and lacking the richness of the previous bottle. Good.

Soft pink/copper in colour. This opens with a slightly musty sweet nose of ripe strawberries, orange peel, lime, pear, and a touch of caramel. Full on the palate, showing freshly squeezed orange juice, red plums and plum skins, lemon, lime peel, and red apple. Medium- acidity, with a medium finish ending with notes of stewed red apples and mandarin. While nice, I was longing for a touch more acidity to balance this out. Good.

Appearance is clear, pale intensity, salmon-pink colour. Legs. Fine bubbles.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of strawberries, red cherries, chalk and limestone minerality, brioche, toast bread, and biscuit. Developing.
On the palate, dry high acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet strawberry cream, raspberries, red cherries, red apples, biscuit, brioche, and slight saline minerality.
Medium+ finish.
Relative sweetness and straight-foward fruitiness makes this seem rather unserious. Nice drink and everyone enjoyed it nonetheless.

Disgorged 09/2011. Lovely colour; fresh, spritely nose; crisp, youthful, soft, creamy strawberried fruit lurks. This will be better in 12+ months.

Nose: pear, grapefruit. Taste: strawberry, grapefruit, apricot. Bitter finish. Felt flat and bland. Not for me.

Pale red. Strawberries, fruity nose. More red berries and lime on the palate. Fresh acid. Guess it will be better with a little cellar age.

Very pale pink... almost no pink tinge. Typical pink profile. Nothing exceptional, but an ok quaff.

Much better than the last bottle...bright and vivid fruits with a good bead and acidity.

Very good...with typical notes of strawberry and hints of freshly baked bread. NOT worth the price tag associated with it(around $50)...but at the $22 that I paid for this...I'm happy.

Mmmm... champagne. :) Seriously though, I have an affinity for this one - easy to drink, not very pricey, good structure and some classic rosé characteristics. A lovely choice for that non-special occasion when you just want some quality bubbles.

Young, acidic, quite pale fruits. Not at all bad, quite the opposite. However, I was looking for a different champagne experiwnce than what this wine offered.

I like this wine.....rose, light salmon, a nice aperitif....strawberries, light, not very overwhelming...whimsical and fun, but serious enough to drink regularly....

slightly tired, with shy aromas of bread dough and raspberry. Plesent flavors of lemon creme.

Not bad at all. At the NV champagne tasting yesterday, I feared this one would be the butt of some bad jokes, but it handled the task with gusto. Some ripe acidity well balanced by floral tones set against an almost creamy backdrop.

No formal notes. There seemed to be a distinct Pinot Noir character to the nose. Overall, very enjoyable, and surprisingly the wine seemed to hold its own after we finished a bottle of 2001 Tignanello. J- really enjoyed it as well.

Pale orange, pink in color; yeast, honey and fresh berries on the nose; fresh, vibrant, with mild amount of cream to the texture; well-balanced, flows throughout with light, fresh trailing finish

Sams Rose Champagne Tasting. Balanced blend of the three principal grapes in this extremely pale straw coloured rose. A lovely floral bouquet, quite a first impression and good length with restrained fruit. You might say elegant.

Reserved nose of light strawberry and rose petals. There is a slight rounded sweetness to the palate that follows all the way into the medium length finish. No excitement and no real depth of flavour, but it is easy to drink and many would find it delicious.

Very pale, fine bubbles, delicate texture, balanced but fairly neutral (as I usually find with pink fizz)

Winestar Lanson Champagne Dinner: Very pale salmon colour. Nose is a little bit shy, some strawberries, earthy notes and a hint of musk. Good enough but lacked excitement.
