Friday, March 24, 2023 - Nose: ripe cassis, vanilla, sweet maraschino cherry, licorice. Palate: creamy blackberry; quite a bit of oak, grippy tannins, could use a bit more acid, bitter black tea on the finish; on day two, the wine became more integrated, but retained its overall ripe qualities.
