double decanted and opened 2 hours, decent youthful robe, on the plummy fruit, not much layering as yet and little breed, but a good enough drink, will probably go through a dumb phase, upside, 20+ years. At least VG (16).

Nose: ripe cassis, vanilla, sweet maraschino cherry, licorice. Palate: creamy blackberry; quite a bit of oak, grippy tannins, could use a bit more acid, bitter black tea on the finish; on day two, the wine became more integrated, but retained its overall ripe qualities.
