Sunday, July 19, 2020 - Med (+) garnet, fading a little on the rim. Med (+) aromas of ripe red cherry, black plum, earth and subtle oak spice. Dry, with med to med (+) acidity, med to med (+) tannins and med (+) to high alcohol (14%). With a full body, med to med (+) flavor intensity and length, this 2013 seems more youthful yet more generous and rounder than the 2011 after a comparable period of aging. Drink now, or hold for a couple more years to allow it to develop more tertiary characteristics. Doesn't quite have the tipicity of Brunello, but can't argue with the QPR at TJs.
