Tuesday, March 4, 2014 - Opened two hours before drinking, this was great right out of the gate and continued to improve throughout the night. Extremely savory and herbaceous, exhibiting the classic Quintarelli profile of baked red fruits, spices, vanilla, and tobacco. Great structure, balance, and tension throughout. An absolutely delicious bottle of wine, superior to the 2000 I had a few months ago. Could it improve with additional time in the bottle? Maybe, but why risk it? Rated 3 on a scale of -1 to 3.
