Wednesday, August 26, 2020 - Tasted blind. Med (+) purple with a ruby rim. Clean, med (+) aromas of ripe black fruit, blue fruit, hatch chili pepper, black pepper, smoke, pine, juniper, vanilla, some French oak. Dry, with med (+) acidity, tannins, and alcohol. Med (+) body, flavor intensity and length, with sweet red fruit, a stemmy vegetal note and a savory finish. Still a little young, this should gain complexity over time. New World (clean, fruit-forward), moderate climate (ripe, sweet, but not as much as Australia).
