Saturday, January 7, 2023 - Popped and poured though it proves a little reticent and closed so glug into the wine jug it goes...the splashy aeration reveals plums, black and blue berries, a certain warm garrigue and minerality and a smidge of fruit lozenge on the nose. The palate is softly engaging; more fleshy than fresh, similar fruit profile with very grape skin tannins proving persistent yet fairly lightweight.
Second bottle followed first as night follows day...showed a little more meatiness which detracted from the fruit compote notes. Overall this is nice, simple, smashable.
