Saturday, April 20, 2013 - Cellar Reconstruction Party (Gary's Place): Very dark red/purple color. Decanted for 1 hour. This needed the air time and really progressed nicely developing a deep creme de cassis nose with blackberry, dried herbs, cedarbox and finally an earthy component emerged. The palate is consistent, full body, somewhat firm medium grained tannins that feel they are just hitting they're stride, nice black mountain fruit with layers of depth, spice, dried herbs, cedar, coffee, well integrated oak. This is just hitting peak drinking now. 92+pts. My and group WOTN.
