Thursday, November 2, 2017 - The first bottle I opened was the '02 Chambolle. Lovingly stored since release. Destroyed by tca. This Morey was very good. It started off very tight and a bit funky. There were notes of meat, leather and musk. It has a seriously savoury base of geological matter. Tannins are relatively firm and acidity bright. With air dark cherries intensify at its heart. I rarely decant red Burgundy but should have with this one. It is supremely youthful and I'll wait another decade or so before popping my last bott.
