Friday, May 26, 2023 - Old Guys lunch on Tilia's lovely patio. In attendance CV/DM/JV/TS/SS/LI/KB. Great weather, great food & lots of laughs. Lonny's companion btl in the Chambolle flight. Well, this came with all the generosity my Anne Gros Chambolle La Combe D' Orveau was reluctant to give! In a word this was captivating! There's oak here but not the least bit intrusive & a real team player element. The nose grabbed me from the get go with its bouquet of roses & berries. Very enticing! This carried over to a very suave well fruited palate with everything you hope for in Chambolle. My Clear WOTD! I had the '18 on vacation in Florida a couple years ago and loved it too. Impressive! And, Lonny brought this back from France himself, so decent provenance :). 93+
