Friday, February 8, 2019 - Champagne Jacquesson Visit with Vintage '59 (Dizy): Brief tasting note, at the winery, direct from the cellar. Deep lemon color belies the age compared to today's younger cuvees. Zesty nose of lemon, pineapple, cream and honey, this shows a touch less fresh today (perhaps only in comparison, again) but with marked flavors of cheese curd (leesy quality), mint, salt and herbs. A beguiling wine today.
