There is a kick of tartness that picks up the palate behind dense, dark fruit. Some mineral and meat add complexity with enough acidity to keep it from being overbearing. Big fruited and fairly extracted but not in an overly lavish way. Damn nice for a bigger Syrah. In a good place.
