93 Points

Friday, October 30, 2009 - P&P at a restaurant in Makati with Peter & Max. Dark purple black, looks as thick as motor oil in the glass and stains it all at the same time. Vapors of tar, licorice, vanilla, and just like smelling the old fashioned purple hard candy, sticking your head in the glass jar at the 5 &10, taking a Whiff. The palate is silky, rich but not heavy, layers of rich black, blue fruits, in a heavy syrup that is made from it's own juice. It is big, graceful, complex.

The bottle lasted lest than hour, my last sip before moving on to the 9 Bishops was smoky, developed the bright dark red fruits on the palate, and the tannins, the structure started to emerge. A very well made wine.
