Saturday, December 16, 2023 - dark ruby colour. very perfumed nose with rose petals, white blooms, and herbs with the black and red currants, tobacco leaf, sandalwood and subtle earthiness. surprisingly open in the mouth, it feels juicy, fresh and supple. expressive fruit, spice and other complexities in the mid palate are already in display, anchored by dusty tannins. very good length.

a wine of finesse that already shows very well and should be very rewarding in (hopefully) a not-so-distant future.

14.5% AbV; 62% Cab Sauv/ 35.5% Merlot/ 2% PV/ 0.5% Cab Franc; eighteen months in 60% new barrels
