Thursday, July 27, 2023 - Dark reddish-purple garnet in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruits aromas of cherries, cassis & raspberries with overtones of floral & dusty/earthy notes, spices, graphite, herbs, tobacco leaf, cedar, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla. in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with herbs, minerals, spices & a bit of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. I concur with La Cave D'Argent about the lesser wines from Bordeaux speaks volumes about the quality of the 2019 vintage. At risk of repeating myself, buyers should consider these engaging Bordeaux since they represent a better value than many overpriced Napa Cabs.
