Saturday, April 12, 2008 - Antrim 1844 Dinner - April 2008 (Taneytown, Maryland): had this rheinhessen riesling with an assorted cheese platter. served too cold, but as it warmed up it showed lychee and ripe peach on the nose. on the palate, this was full and sweet, with medium- acidity. not very complex at all, but it did have pleasant pineapple, and sweet peach flavors. it went extremely well with an aged cheddar and quince.
