Saturday, May 19, 2012 - For me this was wine of the night vs. the other 05s (lewis cuvee L, winter wine estate, Dr. Crane - Beckstoffer). Young but beginning to mature. Smoked meat, blueberry pie, hint of pencil lead and stone. Massive yet subtle and well proportioned. Full mouthfeel with layers of fruit harmoniously combined. Long, long, lasting finish. Decanted 6 hours.
