11/23/2016 6:11:00 PM - Hey Thirsty1, thanks for your note! I only have one 08 Pegau left so am trying to pick the perfect moment...with that softening overnight I think I will wait a little longer. Ahh, the Pride Mountain. All of my friends think that, as a massive wine fan, I'm all about elegance, finesse and etherealness but I really like some of those roided, sunshine in a glass, oaked beasts - it's the same with those early noughties Australian Barossa and Clare Valley Shiraz. Wine snobs would frown at my active enjoyment hence I feel a little like a chef eating junk food...cheers, chatters

12/23/2015 2:20:00 PM - Hi, thanks for your note....Nope, not in the wine or service industry, just a hobiest like most on CT. I've worked in technology down in Austin for 30+ years, and developed an interest in wine when I realized my customers knew more about what to order at dinner than I did! I started reading, and reading and reading, after which I started going to local wine events, and then finally, the trips to Napa, Sonoma, etc. It's become a bit of an obsession; my adult son's childhood bedroom has become a wine cellar with a number of Eurocave and other storage units, and many boxes stacked around the room. It's always nice to converse with those in the trade as my sense s that people love to drink wine, but really don't know much about it. Anyway, I look forward to seeing some of your notes and watching what you like and find interesting!
