Friday, November 28, 2008 - Popped and poured which was a big disservice. Slightly austere at first with some menthol and graphite on the nose. Gave this some time in the glass and it started to strut its stuff. Acidity was bright and fresh but not overpowering like when bottle first opened. More graphite and some spice emerged in the mouth. Finish was neverending and teeth staining. Huge wine that needs decant if opening now. Will try to be patient with the rest.
