This doesn't give up much on the nose at the outset, but slowly opened to reveal smoky red fruits in a somewhat restrained but certainly refined mouthfeel. I enjoyed this a lot, and it was a far better option to bring a 375ml bottle to Mas la Grillade rather than overpay for theirs. This is an excellent food wine as it complements rather than overpowers what is being consumed. Should improve a bit over the next few years but this bottle was almost into its prime
