Monday, December 21, 2009 - True ruby – a touch of lightening at rim. Woodsy, mushroom aromas mixed with youthful pinot fruit. Nicely complex for this stage in life. Palate doesn’t show as much though this bottle is significantly better than the first one from the case. Still coiled tightly, there is some expressiveness shooting out between the tannic core. Good extract here that needs only time. I am much more confident today that this will turn out well. The finish is fairly long with a mint note. (91+)
