Wednesday, March 6, 2024 - Good structure. Lasting finish. Tart flavors along with some tannins take over the initial swallow. As the taste dissipates u can taste the balance and the brilliance in the wine. Prob would’ve paired better with food cause if it’s initial boldness but I chose to drink it after dinner. I let it sit in the decanter for 4 hours before trying as an experiment I get bold dark fruits an oak influence on the nose I’m also getting some strawberries on the mid palate. Great wine. I have a couple more bottles. I’m going to hold for some time before I give it another go. This wine is still extremely dark in color an I feel I want to experience it again in some sort of future evolution. Great job. I tried this wine a few months ago an gave it 2hours less than I gave this bottle in the decanter. Wanted to see what more air would’ve done to the wine.
