Saturday, January 29, 2022 - IWS Tuscany, Campania, Basilicata, Marche, Umbria; 1/29/2022-1/30/2022 (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. meaty, reductive and concentrated - like beef extract - and a little reticent initially, a slight cereal note as well, alcohol prickle. A touch of dusty cedar and spiced cherry with agitation. Touch of liquorice. Medium plus intensity acidity, a little bitterness here; it's quite 'hard' on the palate, tannins are drying, bitter herbs, slight cherry but with cherry stone bitterness. Perhaps time/a decant would help but fairly meh for me.
