Tuesday, October 28, 2014 - Still showing just as well as last time though the lactic note wasn't present. Nose is so classically Bordeaux: tobacco, coffee, earth, cassis, sweet dark cherry, celery seed (the slight pyrazine green edge to remind you it is Bordeaux), old cedar and a touch of graphite. Palate has just a bit of dusty tannin remaining and abundant red fruited acid keeping things so fresh. Finish is medium plus with dark cherry and a slight anise note that I find hugely appealing. Beautiful today and I'm sure it will hold for a while longer yet.
