Tuesday, February 3, 2015 - Chateauneuf du Pape 2006 (@ VD): Beautiful bouquet with ripe fruits and good garrigue. On the palate juicy dark berry fruits, plums, herbs and spices and some tobacco. A beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness and although the round tannin still has some bite, the wine is more developed than Beaucastel tasted just before this one. According to a person who really knows this wine well this bottle is not representative. Anyway, I liked it and scored it 94.
