Friday, December 15, 2023 - Dark reddish purple in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, cedar, tobacco, graphite, herbs, spices, anise, minerals & hints of vanilla/oak in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with herbs, minerals, spices & a hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drink well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. This wine is quite smooth & polished unlike the rough & rustic wines of past vintages.
