93 Points

Friday, August 18, 2006 - I scored 93, wife a 92.... bought this and put in cellartracker as a 3L.... what a surprise (good?) to find out this is a 6L! Was sipping on it, thinking we should have made a "dent" in it when I finally noticed this.. but on to the TN..

Nose dominated with Blueberry and tobacco, with strond cedar underneath. A good deal of spice, especially pepper, on the palate with bing cherry running throughout. Chocolate (as I have come to expect from Elderton) on the finish. Wonderful acid levels that are high, but not too high to enjoy this iwne on it's own. (Marinated chicked and girlled in-the-husk corn were tonight's fare). Good length (20+sec) finish. A surprise to find out this was a 6L and not a 3L.. normally would be VERY happy.. but was not prepared tonight for the wife and I to finish such a bottle. Will post follow up note tomorrow if any significant change.

Checked other bottle ordered with this one... a 6L of Command '98 that I originally ordered as a 3L. Wooohooo!! Anyone open to a trade? :D 3L's are good.. 6L's are too much for the two of us ;)
