Saturday, January 30, 2010 - Decanted for 90 minutes and I will start by saying its too early to drink this wine, but if you do, go at least 2+ hours decanting. That said this really took a great roller coaster ride over the next 90 minutes with some Porterhouse steaks. Big and bold enough to compliment the food and has many of the great Bordeaux nose and palate attributes, but it still is a bit disjointed and slightly hot. after the food was done and there was some left to sip alone, it got very tannic on the finish, so I think it was evolving in the decanter, but not in a good direction - maybe e few more hours needed? If someone else poured one tomorrow, i'd happily drink it, but for my other 5, I'm waiting a few more years - the caliber of this wine earns it the right to drink when really ready!

2/27/2010 2:58:00 PM - I've had the '06 and have a bottle of the '05 that I haven't opened yet. You think the '05 worthy of the Wine Spectator #1 spot?
