84 Points

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 - A bit tart and astringent to start, but that softened into some nice ripe, round red and blue fruit flavors. This is simple and somewhat one dimensional, but it is exactly what I would expect in a Crozes-Hermitage in terms of flavor profile and texture, especially at this price point. I debated whether to put this into the "Very Good to Excellent" range with an 85 score, but decided that this is a good wine, but wouldn't consider it very good. Nice everyday drinker, but don't think this is going to blow you away. Don't let the 83 average CT score fool you, this is totally worth checking out.
