Saturday, March 16, 2024 - Particularly excited for this one as we’re visiting them during our honeymoon in early 2025. Unfiltered — a touch of cloudiness — with a similarly unadulterated persona. Spice — baking and savory (freshly ground peppercorns roasted garlic powder) — and berries rotating around each other in a double helix; running in parallel and nearly integrated though maintaining a distance. Maddy getting raspberries and cranberries and dust to start. First taste for me, tart, hint of grapefruit, definitely berry blend on the palate as well. 30 second finish, a touch of acidity remains with blissful tannins. Reminds Maddy of a younger Eyrie Eyrie. On day 2, quite a bit of vanilla and cream to open. Drank out of Riedel Central Otago Pinot Noir stems.
