Particularly excited for this one as we’re visiting them during our honeymoon in early 2025. Unfiltered — a touch of cloudiness — with a similarly unadulterated persona. Spice — baking and savory (freshly ground peppercorns roasted garlic powder) — and berries rotating around each other in a double helix; running in parallel and nearly integrated though maintaining a distance. Maddy getting raspberries and cranberries and dust to start. First taste for me, tart, hint of grapefruit, definitely berry blend on the palate as well. 30 second finish, a touch of acidity remains with blissful tannins. Reminds Maddy of a younger Eyrie Eyrie. On day 2, quite a bit of vanilla and cream to open. Drank out of Riedel Central Otago Pinot Noir stems.

No detailed notes taken. Wow, this is good. Expressive red fruit core, an intriguing floral component, lots of stems, earthy notes and minerality. The structure is impeccable, the wine is highly elegant, it‘s so light and airy and with good tension. But the real star is the Chambolle like purity of the red berries (and the floral notes). I can‘t imagine how good this will be once it hits maturity.
Decanting: Good from the go without decanting.

Black cherry, cardamom, spice, pepper, blackberry. Really spicy with barely there tannins.
