Tuesday, August 4, 2009 - Dramatically better than the last bottle of this port that I tried. This bottle is a remarkably youthful deep ruby with a slightly tawny rim. Nose is still dominated by sweet, ripe cherries but in this bottle, the impression is fresh and lively, like cherries in a bowl in the sun. Has a lot of material in it -- nearly chewy, sweet on the palate, with a very long finish.
