92 Points

Thursday, June 15, 2023 - On the lower end of "perfectly acceptable and solid value" for me, not an interesting wine but a really tasty and nicely balanced one for the price. Fruit forward for sure, raspberry preserves, black cherry, a bit of cola, and just a touch of potting soil or some other earthy accent. A lot more giving on the palate than the nose, with surprisingly vibrant acidity and a burst of ripe red fruit. Nice structure too. I wanted to rate it a bit higher, but it really seemed to clam up a bit after the first glass, and had a hard time getting its expression back. Not sure how it would age- probably well in the short term. Enjoyable for sure, not sure I'd need to try it again.

8/26/2023 10:36:00 AM - Hey there, my scoring is a bit different than many on CT. On my scale a 92 is very acceptable but not standout and only decent QPR, which is how I'd describe this wine. Check out my profile for more details. Some folks are VERY conservative with scores on CT and I've tried to consolidate/simplify my scores for my own sake. Cheers!
